Responsible to & Evaluated by: Lincoln Lutheran School Association Board of Directors

Terms of Employment: Exempt, 12 month Administrative

Direct Reports: Assistant Head of School, Activities Director, School Counselor, Resource Program

Director, School Nurse, Technology Director, Media Specialist, Director of Enrollment, School Faculty

and Office Assistants

Purpose of Position:

The Head of School (HOS) is the chief academic and cultural leader responsible for spiritual health

and vitality of Lincoln Lutheran Middle and High School (LLMHS) and a member of the executive

leadership team within the concentric leadership model. The HOS provides vision, leadership, and

oversight for academic excellence, student life, and spiritual vitality while ensuring alignment with the

mission, vision, and values of Lincoln Lutheran.

This role requires a Christ-centered, innovative leader with a growth mindset who models servant

leadership and faithfully represents the school to its community.

Spiritual & Educational Leadership

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Model a Christ-centered life of faith, prayer, and service consistent with LCMS doctrine.

Foster a positive Christian climate of discipline, respect, and spiritual growth.

Lead faculty in maintaining a strong LCMS Lutheran identity across all grades and activities.

Support the spiritual development of students, staff, and families through chapel, devotions,

and other faith-centered activities.

Build and maintain positive relationships with the LLSA congregations, LSL leaders, LCMS

pastoral partners, and the local community for the benefit of Lincoln Lutheran Middle and High

School.

Primary Areas of Leadership:

Provide leadership for academic programs, curriculum development, and instructional

excellence.

Assist in the administration of student affairs and behavioral programs.

Oversee other school administrative departments (ie. Enrollment, Counseling, and Activities)

Responsibilities in Conjunction with Chief Operating Officer (COO and Lutheran Education

Foundation Chief Advancement Officer (LEF CAO):

1. Collaborate on school governance and strategic planning.

2. Represent Lincoln Lutheran publicly.
